THIS is the shocking moment a dad-of-three was attacked by a neighbour while he drove his children to school.
The road rage attack, filmed on a mobile phone by the victim’s terrified wife, shows Rupinder Dhillon attacking his former neighbour Raj Thapur, because he “honked his horn” at him.
The attack happened as the dad drove his children to school in Great Barr, Birmingham.
Dhillon knocked out Mr Thaper’s teeth during the incident on February 5.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm at Sandwell Magistrates Court on Wednesday, reports the Birmingham Mail.
Dhillon was also found guilty of assaulting Mrs Thaper as he he tried to knock her mobile phone from her hand as she filmed the attack.
The court heard how the Thaper family was travelling behind Dhillon’s car as they drove their three young sons to school.
Dhillon said that Mr Thaper had “honked his horn” at him several times prompting him to stop and confront him.
The altercation quickly became violent between the two men, who had a disagreed in the past as Mr Thaper’s children watched on in horror from the back seat.
“There was a lot of swearing going on,” Mrs Thaper told the court.
“My children were terrified in the back.
“They could not believe what was happening to their daddy.”
Once he finishes with his attack Dhillon gets back into his car and drives away.
In defence Dhillon said: “It is regrettable in hindsight, it escalating in the way that it did.
“With the bad blood over the years it did reach boiling point.
“It’s unfortunate that we’re here today.”
Magistrates ordered a pre-sentencing report and the trial was adjourned until August 12.
