A desperate search is underway to find Lybi, 21

Pals claim footage showed Lybi being approached by a man in a brown jacket before she disappeared - but police haven't confirmed this.

She was reported missing to police on Saturday as loved ones put out a frantic appeal to help find her on social media.

Cops confirmed they are now searching for the 21-year-old, from Hamilton, with anyone who knows her whereabouts urged to come forward.

A Facebook appeal to help find her has been shared over 6,000 times by people desperate to get her home.

Pals said they were “praying” she had just gone to a party, but concerns grew after she failed to come home two days ago.

Sergeant Louise McLenaghan, Hamilton Police Station, said: "Lybi was last seen in the Trongate, Glasgow City Centre around 11.30 pm and was believed to have been making her way to Central Station to get her train home, however, she didn't arrive home and so her family called police.

"We would appeal to anyone who may have seen her or has any information on her whereabouts to get in touch with police via 101.

"Please quote reference number 1136 of 1 May, 2021, when calling.

"We'd also appeal to Lybi herself to get in touch with police or her family who are concerned for her well-being."

Lybi is described as white, 5ft3 to 5ft4 and of slim build, with long dark hair in a ponytail.

She was wearing a dark green checked shirt with a white crop top tied in the middle, baggy blue ripped jeans, sunglasses and was carrying a small black handbag.

It comes less than a week after pubs and restaurants in Scotland were able to allow customers back inside.
