Horrified man discovers woman is ‘living in his attic’ when he finds her using his office

A MAN discovered a very unwelcome house guest in his attic - a woman who claimed she was the rightful owner of his home.
David Wahlman says he was first alerted to his housemate's presence when he heard rustling and movement above him on the upper floors of his property in Seattle, US, on Monday night.
At first he heard noises from the attic. Then there were noises from upstairs
Going to investigate, he discovered his office door was locked.
Hearing noises from inside he knocked, not knowing what to expect.
She then told him as far as she was concerned - it was her property, not his: "This is my house. I live here. I've been here for three days. Jimmy said I could live here, Jimmy said I could stay here."
Wahlman said: "It's just weird."
He had already phoned 911, and then on finding his unwelcome guest, attempted to keep her talking until cops could chat to her.
However they took 20 minutes to arrive, but which point the woman had left.
He said: "I absolutely support the cops, I love the police officers and I’m really happy they did show up, but as I’m telling someone on dispatch that there’s someone in my house, 'Hey, please bring help' and it took 18 minutes - that’s a little disappointing."
The police however say they dispatched someone.
Cops, however, dispute his account. A spokesperson for the Seattle police said they were called at 9:01pm and an officer was on their way at 9:07pm.
They added it was at 9:03pm Wahlman said the woman was no longer at his home.
He meanwhile says he has no idea how the woman got into his home - but revealed there was a fire escape ladder hanging from his deck and a window screen in the bath.
The rattled homeowner says he has no idea how the woman entered his house, though there was a window screen in his bathtub and his fire escape ladder was hanging from the deck - something the suspect likely found after entering the home.
Wahlman said: "To come into a house like this, in this neighbourhood, that's clearly being lived in that's bold."
He has had all his locks changed and police are investigating.
