THE shocking moment a car flips twice, throwing its driver through the window before landing on him has been captured on video.

The driver had been trying to swerve his way through a wedding convoy driving through the village of Kantyshevo in south-western Russia's Republic of Ingushetia, when his car hit a road bump and began to flip, throwing the man from the window.

Shocked members of the wedding party then rush to pull the car off the driver, who can be heard moaning.

The bizarre accident was captured on the smartphone of one of the wedding guests with the driver of the metallic cherry-coloured Lada Priora losing control of his car while trying to bypass the convoy of cars.

As the car flips in the air twice the driver, who is clearly not wearing a seatbelt, is thrown out of the car.

When the car comes to a stop, it lands on top of the driver.

The video then shows the shocked guests rushing to help the man, who is trapped under the car.

The witnesses manage to drag the man out from under the car, who stays face down in the dirt after the horrifying crash.

The man then tries to sit up despite the protests of the wedding guests.

Several witnesses start calling emergency services while others help the man dab his bleeding nose.

The incident prompted the President of Ingushetia to order the length of wedding escorts to be shortened.

Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, President of Ingushetia, said: "We should be as strict as possible with the people on this video. Each weekend we should make road raids, and wedding convoys should not exceed two to three cars."

There is no update on the man’s condition.
