70 investigators worked on the case following Suzanne's disappearance, Sheriff John Spezze said in a news conference.

David, of Indiana, said his family is "thankful" for the efforts made by authorities in the case.

Barry also offered a $100,000 reward for information on his wife's whereabouts - an amount matched by a concerned family friend.

What happened to Barry Morphew?

Barry was caught on camera being handcuffed by the side of the road near his home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

A recorded clip showed the former murder suspect surrounded by police cars as he spoke to an officer in Poncha Springs.

Police confirmed in a press conference that Morphew was charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and attempting to influence a public servant in his wife's disappearance. He pleaded not guilty.

As reported, prosecutors dropped all his charges in 2022.

In early 2023, the 56-year-old filed a $15 million lawsuit against prosecutors, "alleging a malicious prosecution," per the outlet.

His wife's body was found in Saguache County, a three-hour drive from where Barry was working the day Suzanne disappeared.

What were the results of Suzanne Morphew's autopsy?

As The Denver Post reported, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced Suzanne's autopsy results on the morning of Monday, April 29, 2024.

The CBI said investigators determined Suzanne's cause of death was "homicide by undetermined means in the setting of butorphanol, azaperone and medetomidine intoxication," per the outlet.

According to the publication, azaperone "is used in veterinary medicine."
