Musician loses his licence after filming himself driving his Lamborghini through London one-handed

He admitted driving without due care and attention at an earlier hearing

AN aspiring rapper and restaurant boss who filmed himself driving a Lamborghini with one hand has been banned from the road.

Matin Osmani, 23, drove while filming on his phone and put the footage online - describing it as "the stupidest thing I've ever done."

He was sentenced at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on Wednesday after admitting driving without due care and attention.

He represented himself in court and was accompanied by his father Javed.

The Evening Standard reported he said he had "bad judgement", and told the court: "I was not thinking and was under the impression everyone was streaming [themselves].

"I was in full control of my vehicle.

"In my view my driving is as good as anyone else's but one thing I understand now is I made a stupid decision which I have learnt from."

He was driving the sports car with one hand on the wheel while filming using the other hand.

Osmani was reported to police by a member of the public who saw him in Great West Road in south west London on March 11.

He is an aspiring rapper, under the name Matayo, and has featured the white Lamborghini in several music videos.

Osmani also runs Man Vs Food in Hounslow. The American themed restaurant open last year.

He added: "I'm 23. It was just a bad judgement call. Apart from that I have no excuse.

"It was the stupidest thing I'm ever done in my life. I'm not going to make any excuses."

Magistrates chairman Michael Ross was reported to tell him: "You are going to be disqualified for three months.

"This was an extremely dangerous offence and you think it was serious enough to warrant this disqualification in its own right."

Osmani must also pay a fine of £500, pay a victim surcharge of £50 and pay £80 in costs.
