CASUAL sex is back ON as Boris Johnson has given the go ahead for indoor mixing, hugging and kissing again from May 17.

For the first time this year, people from different households will be allowed to mix indoors from Monday next week - in a big win for Brits looking for hook-ups.

But the Prime minister warned Brits must "carry out caution and use their common sense".

He thanked the public for the sacrifices made during lockdown as he today announced that step three of the road map could go ahead in England from May 17 as planned, saying: "Your efforts have so visibly paid off."

On May 17, people will finally be able to meet their loved ones inside their homes again - as long as they follow the Rule of Six.

As first revealed by The Sun people have been told they can finally hug their close friends and family again - but social distancing rules will be expected to stay for strangers.

Lonely couples who live in separate households can also sleep under the same roof again - after the PM lifted the ban on domestic overnight stays.

For the first five months of 2021, single Brits weren't allowed to meet indoors to hook up with anyone unless they lived with them or if they were part of the same support bubble.

Those who were living alone were allowed to form a bubble, but thousands of couples didn't count as they were living with others.

Lonely Brits were also banned from having sex on Valentine's Day as the most romantic night of the year fell during the strict national lockdown.

BRINGING SEXY BACK

But now with people allowed to finally mix indoors again, those looking for casual sex can get back to business from May 17.

Michael Gove said over the weekend that "friendly contact, intimate contact, between friends and family is something we want to see restored."

As part of the roadmap lifting Boris has told the nation it's now up to them what risks they take.

He has urged people still to be cautious, but told them it's their responsibility whether they want to hug and be close to others, after a year of staying apart during the pandemic.

At the moment anyone who doesn't live together is advised to keep at least 1.5 metres away from others to stop the spread of the virus.

Brits can decide on their own levels of risk "for their own circumstances" and take decisions into their own hands after months of advice from ministers about what to do.

Alongside intimate indoor mixing, Brits can also make the most of meeting people in BnBs and hotels, which are set to open their doors once more on May 17.
