Ex-Ministers including Michael Gove planning committees take over to scrutinise Britain’s EU exit deal
They will make Theresa May stay true to her word that 'Brexit means Brexit'

MICHAEL Gove and other sacked top Tories are planning to “hold the government’s feet to the fire” over Brexit by taking over powerful Commons committees, The Sun can reveal.
The ex-ministers who lead the Vote Leave campaign for a Brexit vote are heavily tipped to run the new MPs’ groups that will scrutinise Britain’s EU exit deal.
As well as the former Justice Secretary, they include ex-Culture Secretary John Whittingdale and former justice minister Dominic Raab.
The trio were either sacked by new PM Theresa May or walked out after being passed over for promotion.
Two new Commons select committees are being set up to scrutinise the new Brexit Ministry, as well as the newly created Department for International Trade to forge fresh deals with the world.
Last night a source close to the trio told The Sun: “It would be the perfect way to hold their feet to the fire and make sure Brexit really does mean Brexit”.
The move comes amid hardline eurosceptics’ growing fears that the Government could water down demands to Brussels –and even give into calls for a second referendum.

By standing for election to the committees, the backbench Brexit MPs would also still be involved in the EU exit process, amid concerns Brexit Secretary David Davis, Trade boss Liam Fox and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson could fall out.
One Eurosceptic Tory MP said last night: “Do not underestimate the likelihood that they screw this up.”
The MP added: “Winning the referendum was not the end of it — the really hard stuff comes now, and there can be no rowing back.”
Last week, Brexit backing business figures announced plans to set up a new organisation that will hold Mrs May to account on her Brexit pledge and fight to prevent her from backsliding.
The new campaign group called “Leading Leave” is being spearheaded by businessman and Leave campaigner Richard Tice and Labour donor John Mills.
Leading Leave boss Richard Tice said: “When it comes to negotiating Brexit, no deal is better than a bad deal.
“Leading Leave will hold the Government to account to ensure that Brexit is delivered in full, including ending freedom of movement.”
