Prince Harry reveals his pain over not talking about his mum Princess Diana’s death until three-years-ago
The 31-year-old spoke about his mother's tragic passing at a BBQ held by a mental health charity
PRINCE Harry has revealed he deeply regrets never talking openly with someone about his mother's tragic death.
Speaking at a mental health charity event, the 31-year-old said he did not speak about her passing until three years ago.
Harry was speaking with sports stars at an event hosted by charity Heads Together, which works to raise awareness of mental health problems.
He added: "A lot of people think if you've got a job, if you've got financial security, if you've got a family, you've got a house, all that sort of stuff, everyone seems to think that is all you need and you are absolutely fine to deal with stuff.
"It is OK to suffer, but as long as you talk about it."
He spoke with sports stars such as Rio Ferdinand, who asked Harry about dealing with the death of a parent.
Ferdinand's wife Rebecca Ellison - with whom he has three children - died from cancer last year.
Princess Diana was killed in a car crash in 1997 when Harry was aged 12 and his brother William was 15.
