He was spotted by a worried member of the public outside Homebase

A DEPRAVED man has been jailed after he was found shouting and naked in a car park with seven grams of cocaine - hidden under his FORESKIN.

Cops were called after a concerned member of the public spotted Joshua Hare making a nuisance of himself near Homebase in Salisbury, Wiltshire, at around 8.30am.

The 24-year-old "struggled" with officers and was arrested and taken to hospital on June 17, the court heard.

Homeless Hare pleaded guilty to being in possession of seven grams of cocaine and failing to surrender to bail and was jailed for a total of 12 weeks.

Swindon Magistrates activated a 12-week suspended sentence he had previously been given for aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent, and slapped him with a £115 victim surcharge.

Prosecutor Keith Ballinger described how the wrap "emerged" from Hare's genitals.

The substance was later tested and confirmed to be cocaine but in interview Hare declined to comment, he said.

"He was last in court in May for aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent and was given a suspended sentence," Mr Ballinger added.

Defending, Nick Redhead said Hare has a "troubled background" and has had problems with drugs and alcohol. He is also being assessed for mental health issues.

He added Hare was in intensive care after he fell ill with kidney issues in police custody earlier this year.

Magistrate Mary Holland said: "Dealing first of all with the breach of the suspended sentence order we feel you have left us with no option and we must activate the prison sentence.

"It will be activated for 12 weeks."

For the possession of a Class A drug Hare, of no fixed abode, was ordered to spend one week in custody which he will serve alongside the 12 weeks.
