The 23-year-old, known only as Sandeep, had gone to gather wood from the forest when he was bitten.

When he returned back to his village in India, he was taken to a traditional Tantric healer in the next village.

The Tantric's methods appeared ineffective and villagers believed he had died so they decided to bury him in the local cemetery.

After he regained consciousness, relatives took him back to the same Tantric practitioners instead of a hospital.

Tragically, his life could not be saved and the Tantic declared Sandeep dead for the second time.
