THIS is the heart-stopping moment a boozed up woman was dragged from a railway track as a train approaches.

The tipsy female waves her arms and sways unsteadily as station staff urge her to jump to safety.

A train can be seen heading straight for her just yards away.

A fellow passenger caught the drama on camera at Woking station.

Passers-by could only watch in horror as the woman walked down the live track risking electrocution as well as being hit.

She then stumbles onto the ledge as South West Trains staff and two members of the public yank her to safety.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said officers were called to the station at 5.37pm on Wednesday following reports of a woman on the tracks.

They added: “Officers took her to a place of safety and left her in the care of health professionals.

“Trains were stopped very briefly.

“By 6pm, everything was back up and running.”

A spokesman for Network Rail added: "There was a trespass incident at Woking station on July 27 at approximately 5.30pm.

"A stopping train was approaching the platform [at the time] but was stopped by signallers.

"Nobody was injured but British Transport Police officers attended the scene."

Surrounding trainlines were shut during the incident with SWT tweeting shortly before 6pm that they had been reopened.
