Andrew, 23, campaigned to raise awareness of male suicide after Jacob's lifeless body was found at his own home.

But now the grieving friend has been found dead himself in a quiet park in Splott, Cardiff.

Police said there were "no suspicious circumstances" after his sudden death on Saturday.

A Facebook page created in tribute to Andrew shows a photo of him and Jacob with the caption: "Even death couldn't keep them apart."

More than 3,000 people have joined the page to their share memories of Andrew and to pay their respects.

The page organiser wrote: "A smile can hide a thousand tears. We're all going to miss you like crazy boy."

Keen sportsman Jacob, 25, died in October in the garage of his home.

Coroner Thomas Atherton described his death as a "tragic rare occurrence" as the inquiry unearthed no evidence as to why Jacob made the decision to take his own life.

He recorded a verdict of suicide.

Councillor Gretta Marshall said: "As a mother of children around the same age as Andrew, I was devastated when the police rang me.

"It is so tragic for the family and for the wider community that a young life has been so sadly lost.

"My heart goes out to the family and friends of Andrew.

"May he rest in peace. I so hope that a lasting memorial to Andrew will be possible in Splott. I know this has touched everyone in the local community and more widely across Cardiff."

A police spokesman said: "The body of a 23-year-old male was found by a member of the public at approximately 12.20pm on Saturday."
