THIS is the shocking moment a women was run over by a have-a-go hero as she attempted to fend off a group of motorbike muggers.

Captured on camera as the first of two incidents, Brenda Desire Gutierrez, 24, was attacked by the group of thieves in the Moreno district of Buenos Aires, Argentina in October 2020.

In the CCTV footage of the first attack, which was published around the world, Brenda was seen clinging to her bag as she was dragged down the street as her attackers attempted to flee on their motorbikes.

She is first pulled along the pavement, and then dragged onto the street, but still refuses to let go, even when the crooks pulled out a gun and tried shooting her.

Shortly after entering the road, a silver Volkswagen Polo appears and the vehicle swerves in a bid to hit the motorbike muggers, but runs over the young woman instead.

As the crooks speed off, the body of the young woman, alive but badly injured, can be seen lying motionless on the ground.

The driver, whose was reportedly travelling with his 38-year-old mother at the time, stopped to give emergency first aid to the injured woman. .

He said that he realised what was happening and had tried to stop the motorcycle, but ended up running over Brenda instead.

The 24-year-old was quickly rushed to the Mariano y Luciano de la Vega de Moreno Hospital still conscious but with a serious head injury.

She then spent 30 days in hospital and underwent numerous procedures.

Brenda said: “It hurts, it's like moving forward and going back a bit at the same time. I had a hard time sleeping last night because of my nerves.

“I (now) have three prostheses in the third and fourth vertebrae. I'm looking at the neurological part because I forget things."

The thieves managed to flee and have not yet been identified by the police.

However, in an unbelievable turn of events, the injured woman was then attacked for a second time in the same area as she returned from hospital on the bus with her mother Claudia.

Reports suggest Brenda had been attending the surgery for a medical consultation at Capital Federal where she was receiving treatment from her previous attack.

According to the police, the 24-year-old and her mother were assaulted as they got of this bus - this time by two armed criminals who came out of a construction site wearing hoodies.

When she saw the thieves, Gutierrez reportedly began to run and scream for help, while her mother was allegedly assaulted by one of the criminals, who also stole her phone.

Recollecting the event her mother told the Todo Noticias channel: "We got off the bus at 7:20 and on the corner, in a construction site, two armed men came out and when she saw a gun she ran away.

"One of them threw it because he was carrying a wallet, but he could not steal it because it was it got stuck.

"I asked the thieves not to do anything (to Brenda) because one of them was pointing at her head

“My daughter was crying loudly and asking not to take her studies."

A complaint has since been made at the police headquarters by both women and was passed on to public prosecutor Federico Sonora.

An investigation into both incidents is ongoing.
