‘Cult mom’ Lori Vallow indicted over ‘MURDER conspiracy’ in ex’s death after she’s found ‘unfit’ for kids’ death trial
"CULT mom" Lori Vallow has been indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her former husband.
This comes just a month after Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell and Daybell's first wife.
The indictment was handed down on Tuesday by a grand jury in Maricopa County, Arizona, , just a month after a judge ruled Vallow was not "fit"
's former husband, Charles Vallow, was shot dead by her brother, Alex Cox, on July 11, 2019, during a custody dispute over their son JJ.
Police initially ruled that Cox was acting in self-defense, but the case was reopened shortly after Vallow's children went missing in September 2019.
Cox died shortly afterwards of an apparent blood clot in his lung.
Charles was Vallow's fourth husband and had filed for divorce from her, claiming she believed she had become a god-like figure who was responsible for ushering in the biblical end times.
Vallow and Daybell were reportedly part of a "doomsday" cult, according to family members.
Vallow and Daybell were already indicted by a grand jury on first-degree murder charges in the deaths of Vallow’s children JJ Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, and Daybell's ex-wife, Tammy, who died in her sleep in October 2019.
The couple married just a month later and fled to Hawaii until Vallow was arrested in February 2020.
Her children's bodies in Idaho in June 2020.
Daybell, who frequently wrote about doomsday events, pleaded not guilty to murder charges earlier this month, while Vallow's case is currently on hold.
The pair also were hit with several other charges, including conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and grand theft, in connection to the kids' deaths.
The couple are also both facing charges in Daybell's ex's death.
It was initially believed that she died of natural causes, but investigators reopened the case and her body was later exhumed in December of 2019.
Daybell pleaded not guilty just a day after a motion was filed to commit Vallow, 47, to a mental institution for treatment after a psychological evaluation in March put her "fitness to proceed" in the case in question.
She was found unfit to stand trial and an order was issued to pause the case.
