Fears Russell Square incident will stop visitors coming to London over terror fears

THE horrific killing of a woman in a possible terror attack in Russell Square last night, has ignited fears that tourism will suffer across London because of the threat of ISIS-inspired atrocities.
The wave of tragic attacks across Europe is thought to driven down tourist numbers across the continent, despite it being the height of summer season.
Hotel chains, airlines, tour operators, and luxury retailers have all reported a drop in business after the attacks in France, Germany, Belgium, and Turkey.
Fears tourism will be hard-hit across Europe come after 172 people have died in terror attacks across the continent so far this year.
Hotel bookings in Paris this summer season were already below average before dropping even lower after the Nice attack on Bastille Day, .
In London hotel occupancy is 2.7 per cent lower than it was this time last year, while Amsterdam has experienced an 8.3 per cent fall.
Flight bookings to Nice after the attack on July 14 fell by 57 per cent according to traveller data analysts ForwardKeys, while reservations across the whole of France have fallen by 20 per cent.
Their research also shows there has been an 11 per cent decline in holiday bookings to France, a 23 per cent drop in Belgium, and 31 per cent fall in Turkey.
