British woman, 61, dies after falling eight metres off her roof while hanging out her washing in Turkey

A BRITISH woman tragically died after falling off a roof while hanging up some washing to dry.
Carol Duncalf, thought to be in her 60s, had been living in the Turkish resort for some time.
The resident of of Marmaris, popular with tourists, had visited a neighbour for a drink and a chat before returning home.
As she hung up the washing on her roof she lost her balance and fell, landing head first on the concrete courtyard eight metres below.
A person walking by saw her shocking fall and called the emergency services, but she died at the scene.
Police closed off the street while investigators determined that the cause of death was a brain haemorrhage caused by the fall.

Ms Duncalf's body was taken to the Marmaris State Hospital morgue and from there was transferred to the Mugla Forensic Medicine Institute for a final examination.
Her social media profile revealed that she was a single woman who was originally from Northwich in Cheshire where she had gone to school and college.
Ms Duncalf had been living on her own for some time in Marmaris where she was known as an animal lover.
She supported the work of animal rescue associations in the region and also fed stray cats in the neighbourhood.
Eye-witnesses said that a number of cats congregated on the area after her fall from the roof and refused to leave.
Marmaris, which lies on the Mediterranean coast, is one of Turkey's most popular tourist resorts. The town's winter population of about 30,000 swells to about 400,000 in the summer.
