A MUM-of-three says her hair is falling out in clumps after she used a home bleaching kit she bought on the high street.
Jennifer O'Neill, 32, has been left with bald patches and fears her hair will never grow back.
Two batches of the product were subject to a recall the day before she bought it on July 12 after Jerome Russell warned of a "serious safety issue".
However, the company said the item she used was not among those recalled.
Jennifer, a stay-at-home mum from Pedmore, the West Midlands, told The Sun Online she used it two days after buying it.
"I bleached my hair as normal there were no side effects but there was a bit more hair loss than normal.
"It started about three or four days after and it's just gradually got worse. Parts of my hair are just snapping off and falling away. It's still falling out now."
She went to see a doctor on the 21st, and was prescribed cream designed to stimulate hair follicles to help it grow back.

But she was not sure what would happen long-term and if it would ever grow back.
"We don't know, which is what is distressing. I'd always used that product, always, and I'd never had any problems, but I definitely won't be bleaching my hair again in the future.
"It's caused unbelievable distress that I could have done without. At the moment I'm currently having to wear hats everyday, I can't go out the house without wearing a hat."
A spokesperson for Jerome Russell told The Sun Online it was unable to comment as they did not know how she applied the product.
They said: "We are sorry Jennifer has not received the results she was looking for, however it is impossible for us to comment as we have no indication of the condition of her hair prior to using the product or how she applied the product.
"We are more than happy to speak with Jennifer directly to ascertain these details.
