Top joke app for Edinburgh Fringe Festival is no laughing matter for some
The 21 best one-liners from the past ten years have fallen flat with many comedy fans
THE so-called best jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe are listed on a new app for festival goers.
But the 21 one-liners from the past ten years have fallen flat with some fans.
One said: “If these are the best, what the hell are the worst?”
They include:
“Did you know Kinder Surprise is German for unwanted pregnancy?” — Adam Hess.
“I bought a muzzle for my pet duck. Nothing flashy, but it fits the bill.” — Chris Turner.
“Two aerials on a roof fell in love and got married. The wedding wasn’t great but the reception was fantastic.” — Jimeoin.
“Jesus fed 5,000 people with two fishes and a loaf of bread. That’s not a miracle. That’s tapas.” — Mark Nelson.
“People who like trance music are very persistent. They don’t techno for an answer.” — Joel Dommet.
“Bonsai lovers are very tolerant people. They hate bigotry.” — Juliet Meyers.
The app was released by Pearlshare. They chose from performers who were appearing this year and had featured in end of festival round-ups over the past ten years.
