Shetland mum, 25, dies after taking unwell on beach as tributes paid to ‘kind-hearted’ charity worker
TRIBUTES have been pouring in for a tragic Shetland mum who died after taking ill at the beach.
We told how the 25-year-old passed away after being rushed to hospital from St Ninian's beach.
Shannon Williamson wrote: "Showed her support and she was so kind hearted and funny.
"She was going to be on my podcast before I had to postpone it, we spoke a little bit about what she was going to talk about.
"I’m sorry you never got to tell your story the way you wanted to but you raised so much awareness for kids in care and information for people who weren’t educated on that topic.
Emma Ritch, of Engender Scotland, passed away suddenly on Friday.
The feminist, who also sat on Rape Crisis Scotland's Board of Trustees, devoted her life to working for equality for women.
She has been described as a "brilliant director" and a "committed, passionate and witty feminist."
