Who is Mathew Rosengart?

Mathew Rosengart is a popular former federal prosecutor, who previously served as a Supervisory Assistant United States Attorney and Justice Department Trial Attorney.

Over an extensive career he has specialized in white collar litigation and media and entertainment cases.

In September 2021, he replaced Samuel Ingham, the man appointed by the court in 2008 to serve Britney after the Toxic singer claimed he did not do enough to help her.

Rosengart is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Beverly Hills Bar Association.

He continues to be Britney’s lawyer.

What did he say after Britney’s conservatorship was terminated?

On November 12, 2021, Judge Brenda Penny ordered Britney’s conservatorship to be terminated without requiring any further mental evaluation – giving the hitmaker control of her life for the first time since 2008.

After the decision was made, Rosengart called it a “monumental day.”

He said: “What’s next for Britney is up to one person — and this is the first time we can say this in a decade. It’s up to Britney.

“Britney, as of today, is a free woman.

“I thank her for her courage and poise and power and for our relationship.”

Rosengart mentioned filing a lawsuit against Spears’ dad, Jamie, and former business manager Lou Taylor as he believes there has been misappropriation of assets by a number of people in the legal matter.

But he told reporters that it was “up to my client Britney” whether they pursue.

On May 3, 2024, Britney praised Rosengart for “getting her through” her ankle injury.

The singer, 42, was left with a twisted ankle after reportedly getting into a fight with boyfriend Paul Soliz at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Britney Spears' conservatorship timeline

In September 2021, case returned to a courtroom where Judge Brenda Penny made a number of bombshell rulings, following her father’s decision to end the conservatorship the month prior.

She ruled to rid Jamie of his daughter’s conservatorship, however, it did not mean the end of the conservatorship altogether.

Speaking in court, Judge Brenda Penny said: “Based on what I read in the filings, and I read everything. I do believe the suspension of Jamie Spears is in the best interest of Britney Spears.

“The current situation is unattainable. The court finds the toxic environment Jamie Spears has created needs to be removed today.”

Following the judge’s decision, a temporary conservator was put in Jamie’s place for about a month.

In early November 2021, Jamie was back in court filing new legal documents that show he’s done fighting.

Jamie had previously demanded $2 million in exchange for stepping down but documents at the time showed that he was not seeking any further compensation.

On November 12, Judge Penny ruled in favor of the pop star, removing Jamie from the position of conservator without requiring any further mental examination from Britney.

The pop star was escorted out of Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, according to

Britney was seen wrapped a blanket over her pajamas as she walked out barefoot.

The singer clutched a large white pillow to her chest.

A stretcher with her belongings on it was wheeled out.

A fire truck was reportedly spotted at the Sunset Boulevard hotel.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to The U.S. Sun: “A 911 call was received at 12:42 AM reported 1 injured female.

“One paramedic was dispatched. No one was hospitalized. There were no police.”

Are Britney Spears and Sam Asghari divorced?

Britney has finalized her divorce settlement with estranged husband Sam Asghari.

Sam filed for divorce from the pop star in August 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.

Her former partner signed a prenup, which means he was left with nothing after the divorce.

Britney has been paying Sam’s rent after he left their shared Los Angeles home,  reported.

Sam reportedly asked Britney to write him a six-figure check after the divorce.
