A TROVE of photos and emails have been released by police in the investigation of Lori Vallow and appear to show the last picture of her seven-year-old son before she allegedly murdered him and his sister.

The photos, which were recovered from the "cult mom's" iCloud account, include one shot of son JJ in red pajamas dated September 22, 2019, which investigators believe is the last shot of the boy alive.

Two more pictures from a day later show ammunition from an Idaho gun store.

Another shot of a plane ticket reveals that Vallow had booked a flight under a false name from Idaho to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway the day after Vallow's brother attempted to shoot Tammy Daybell.

Tammy was at the time married to Vallow's now-husband, Chad Daybell.

Other pictures taken at a California hotel appear to date between November 28 and December 1, when police were searching for Vallow's two children.

The shots were released by police alongside 2,500 redacted emails after Vallow was indicted in on charges of in the death of her former husband.

's ex, Charles Vallow, was shot dead by her brother, Alex Cox, on July 11, 2019 during a custody dispute over their son JJ.

Police initially ruled that Cox was acting in self-defense, but the case was reopened shortly after Vallow's children went missing in September 2019.

Vallow and her fifth husband, Chad Daybell, were arrested in Hawaii in February after the pair failed to report the disappearance of her two sons in September of last year.

The Idaho hairstylist was and the nonsupport of her children after police said she had lied about their whereabouts and even their existence.

The pair were indicted by a grand jury on first-degree murder charges for the children's deaths.

On June 9, 2020, investigators found the  wrapped in plastic bags and buried in a pet cemetery on Daybell's property.

Daybell is also accused of ending the life of his ex-wife, Tammy Daybell who was originally thought to have died of natural causes, but investigators reopened the case after her body was exhumed in December of 2019.

In June, Vallow underwent a and her "fitness to proceed" was drawn into question by her attorney.

Despite being previously deemed not fit for trial, the psychological evaluation found that Vallow "is not dangerously mentally ill."

"The complete assessment determined that at this time the Defendant is not competent to proceed, and recommends restorative treatment," the evaluation documents read.

Daybell, an author of several apocalyptic novels, was kicked out of the church of the Latter-Day Saints last fall along with Vallow after Daybell proclaimed himself a prophet.
