DOUBLE TRAGEDY

Bodies of man and woman found inside home with cops calling deaths ‘unexplained’

THE bodies of a man and woman have been found at a home in Norwich as police probe the "unexplained" deaths.

The house at Middleton Crescent, New Costessey is now cordoned off after police responded to calls over safety concerns at 11.30am on Saturday.

When authorities arrived both of the people inside were pronounced dead at the scene.

The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained as police work to establish the circumstances leading up to their deaths.

A spokesman for Norwich police said: "We are still in the very early stages of our investigation and officers are working to establish the events leading up to these deaths.

"However, whilst we must keep an open mind about the circumstances, our initial enquiries lead us to believe this is an isolated incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Norfolk Police on 101.

The latest double death comes just months after the city was left reeling by the brutal stabbing of a father in front of his teenage son in April.

Dad-of-three Dean Allsop, 41, was stabbed to death after a row ensued with a neighbour over his "noisy" motorbikes.

Three other people - including his partner Louise - were taken to hospital with knife wounds.

Speaking at his funeral, Louise said: "Dean was the backbone of our family. He held us all together.
