Three kids cheat death as BMW slams into row of parked cars and flips on roof leaving a trail of destruction

SHOCKING footage has emerged of a car torn to shreds that left a trail of destruction after a nightmare collision.

Three kids that were passengers in the black upturned BMW managed to cheat death after the car slammed into a row of parked cars.

The family is lucky to be alive after CCTV footage showed their vehicle smash into a parked car before turning over at high speed.

The BMW continued to sledge upside-down along the road in a cloud of dust and debris as the children screamed in terror.

Astonishingly, the trio of youngsters escaped with minor injures from the carnage in Bradford, West Yorkshire on Sunday teatime.

Cops said the accident happened at 5.30pm when the black BMW collided with the cars on Lister Avenue near the junction of Bowling Hall Road.

In the footage, the car can be seen travelling at speed along the street before appearing to drift towards the kerb.

It strikes a parked silver estate car nose to nose, nudging it completely onto the pavement, which was fortunately empty at the time.

A split second later, the BWM runs into the back of the red car which had reversed into a bay immediately behind the first car.

The BMW spins around 180 degrees and flips onto its roof, continuing to travel down the road on its roof leaving a trail of debris behind it.

Meanwhile, the red car has also been shoved onto the pavement where spins around and slams into a third car, a white saloon, parked in front of it.

The male driver, aged 31, has sustained life-changing injuries and remains in a serious condition in hospital, according to investigators.

“Three children were present in the vehicle at the time of the collision and were also taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening,” a spokesman said.

Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, a clinical supervisor and a hazardous area response team were dispatched to the scene by the West Yorkshire ambulance service.

The four patients were taken to Leeds General Infirmary.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were also present with two pumps from Bradford and a technical rescue unit from Cleckheaton.

Police are appealing for any witnesses.
