Stuart Lubbock’s dying dad vows to fight for justice as cops investigating death at Michael Barrymore home release a man

STUART Lubbock's dying father has vowed to continue to fight for justice after cops probing the death at Michael Barrymore’s house released a man they had arrested.

The 50-year-old suspect was held in March on suspicion of murder and indecent assault.

The arrest came 20 years after Stuart, 31, died at a pool party at the now 69-year-old TV presenter’s mansion.

But Stuart’s dying dad Terry was yesterday told no charges would be brought.

Essex Police said the CPS had ruled there was insufficient evidence to be able to successfully prosecute.

Terry, 76, who is in the final stages of his cancer battle, has vowed to keep fighting.

He said: “I will continue my fight for justice.”

The grieving dad added: “I know somebody at that party inflicted those injuries on my Stuart.”

Meanwhile his close friend Harry Cichy told Terry wanted the decision by Essex Police not to press charges to be reviewed.

He said: “I’ve just left Terry and he’s very poorly. But he spoke to his QC and instructed him to start the ball rolling for a review of the decision.

"He wasn’t angry at all, he was very calm and collected, but adamant that he will keep fighting. It’s been a long, hard battle."

A post-mortem found the dad of two had been sexually assaulted and had alcohol and drugs in his system.

Det Chief Insp Stephen Jennings said: “Essex Police has never given up on this case.

“All we want is to deliver justice for Mr Lubbock and his family."
