Dead & Company fan plunges to his death from balcony at concert of the Grateful Dead offshoot at NYC’s Citi Field
A DEAD & COMPANY fan reportedly fell to his death at a show at New York's Citi Field on Friday night.
According to police, a man in his 40s fell from a second-floor balcony during the concert.
The man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, New York Police Department said.
It was unclear whether the man had jumped or fell by accident.
A security guard told the : “I can’t say if it was a jumper or if he fell. With a night like tonight, who knows?
“The people are inebriated, the people are intoxicated."
Another named guard added, “Maybe someone took something they shouldn’t have."
The band features members of the Grateful Dead and John Mayer.
The group kicked off a 31-gig tour this week.
