A TOUCAN beaten and left to die by a gang of laughing teenagers proudly shows off his new 3D-printed prosthetic beak.

One-year-old Grecia had the top of his colourful bill broken during the attack in a rainforest near Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Vets from the local Zoo for Birds nursed the Keel-billed toucan back to health after animal lovers donated £6,380.

He can now feed himself using his new bill.

Animal mistreatment is not illegal in Costa Rica and the teens were not charged.
