Loud boos and shouts interrupted him as he tried to address the crowd, eventually forcing him to retreat to the offices with his hands in the air.
The drivers are protesting over changes that will see them paid £3.75 per delivery, rather than than £7 an hour plus £1 per delivery.
Deliveroo has reportedly said the changes could see drivers earn twice as much. But, riders are calling to be paid £8 an hour with £1 per delivery as well as tips and fuel costs.
A spokesman for Deliveroo said: "We started trialling a new payment model in London this week, which was designed to enhance flexibility and based on extensive rider feedback.
“Speaking with our riders and hearing their concerns on the new model is our top priority right now.
“We’re committed to an open conversation with our rider community as the situation evolves, so we can continue to improve our payment model and delivery experience.”
