On May 15, 2023, fans noticed Mika Brzezinski was missing from the morning show.

Though Brzezinski hasn't made any comments on her current whereabouts, it seems she is on a trip with her daughters after her daughter, Carlie, posted an Instagram story of them on a fishing trip.

Most recently, the American commentator blasted Republicans that support Trump over the E. Jean Carroll case.

On the May 10 episode, Brzezinski said: "This is the problem with these Republicans. This is the sickness that you’re talking about, that Trump has coarsened through the veins of American society."

She went on to praise Carroll for her brave efforts to bring herself justice.

Brzezinski went on to say: "They would see in front of their own eyes the sickness that Donald Trump has put on this country because you’re blind!"

The couple reportedly chose to get married on Thanksgiving weekend in DC because most of Washington was shut down for the holiday.

In a 2018 interview with  Brzezinski explained the decision to exchange vows in the rotunda in front of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights: “It makes sense now more than ever, given what we stand for as a couple, what we do for a living, and what we’re worried about as a country.”
