Child murderer Ian Huntley struts around as king of the wing but is secretly a suicidal zombie
IAN Huntley leads a double life behind bars a former inmate has revealed.
The sick Soham murderer flits between a cocky king of the wing persona and a suicidal zombie inside HMP Frankland in Durham.
Fellow lags never know which Huntley will greet them each morning as he emerges from his cell.
An ex-con has revealed the only stable thing in the twisted killers life is his daily routine.
At 7.30am the murderer gazes into his "suicide proof" mirror and shaves off his greying hair with a safety razor ahead of starting his shift as a £24.50-a-week cleaner.
A former inmate told : “He has constant ups and downs. It’s like he’s bipolar.
"On a high he’ll walk the corridors, mocking other prisoners and acting the big man."
But other times the killer will slip into a depressive state not speaking to other inmates for long periods of time.
The former lag added: “You won’t hear a peep from him for days.

Huntley's door is opened at 8:30 when he goes for breakfast before cleaning the floors.
The murderer has to wait until after 11am for a shower when other jailbirds are in classes or seeing visitors because of the threat of him being attacked.
The former prisoner also revealed the killer has been terrified ever since the attempt on his life by convicted killer Damien Fowkes.
Fowkes stabbed Huntley in the neck in 2010 with a make shift knife.
At 11.40am the murderer rejoins the other lags for lunch before heading off to the vulnerable prisoner wing.
Cons are then locked up until 4.30pm, at which point they can mingle and meet in each other's cells before being banged up again for the night at 7pm.
Huntley murdered schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman 14-years-ago when they were aged just 10.
