KIM Jong-Un has told starving North Koreans they need to munch on man's best friend - branding dog meat a superfood.
He is promoting canines as rich in vitamins, and says for the best possible flavour pups should be beaten to death.
According to DPRK Today, which is a North Korean YouTube propaganda channel, dogs which are a "stamina food", should be stripped of their fur, and then scorched.
It promotes the meat as having more vitamins than other animals, including chicken, beef, pork and duck.
According to it is good for the intestines.
Despite dog meat being a popular dish in North Korea, in neighbouring South Korea animal activists have protested about the practice of butchering dogs for dinner.
There have been a number of stories recently about canines being good for health if eaten.

The Korean Central Television (KCTV) recently highlighted a dog meat restaurant in Pyongyang, which had been reopened, and claimed it was "being successful in making dog meat more unique."
Meanwhile radio station Tongil Voice said dog stew was the "finest medicine" and referred to "dangogi", the Korean translation of dog meat, saying: "There's an old saying that even a slice of dangogi can be good medicine during the dog days."
