Woman, 32, killed in crash after bike and crane collide in tragic smash
A CYCLIST was killed after a crane and bike collided in a tragic crash in Oxfordshire.
The 32-year-old was riding her bike at a junction when the horrific smash unfolded - with the young woman pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident unfolded at the junction of Headley Way and London Road in Headington, Oxfordshire, at 9.50am this morning.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin have been informed.
Senior Investigating Officer, Sergeant James Surman, of the Roads Policing Unit based at Bicester police station, said: “This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the death of a woman.”
“I am appealing for anyone who has any information relating to the collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
