VICTORIA station in London was evacuated this morning after a fire alert sparked a "reported emergency".

The London Fire Brigade confirmed it was called shortly after 7am this morning after an automatic alarm sounded.
No fire was found but commuters were moved out of the station in a state of panic as a precautionary measure.
The station reopened within an hour of the alarm being raised after firemen declared the scene safe.
The Victoria line official Twitter feed tweeted at 7:16am: "Victoria- station closed. All lines non stopping. Fire alert. Updates to follow."
Then at 7:39am followed up the previous tweet saying: "Victoria- station has re-opened. Sorry for the wait if you were affected."
