A MOTORIST has been filmed driving down the motorway with a DOG sitting on her lap.

The pooch stares at the camera as its owner drives at around 70mph up the M2, unaware she is being recorded.

The windscreen fitter, who wishes only to be known as Sid K, said he could not believe what he saw as he and two friends travelled home to Birmingham.

Sid said: "I saw the woman with her dog on her lap and I thought flipping hell that's not very good is it.

"It was mad. The dog was staring at me and then she looked at me and flipped two fingers up at me.

"I wish I'd recorded that too."

The 28-year-old said he thinks the woman, who drove a Peugeot 206, was doing around 70mph as she passed their van.

The pals were on their way back from Neuville de Poitou, France, where they had been competing in the Large Scale Off-Road Euros – a remote control car racing tournament.

Sid said: "We were on our way back from Dover on the M2 because we'd just spent a week racing remote control cars in France. We're big kids really.

"I was taking selfies of our mate who had fallen asleep in between me and the driver so my camera was on anyway as she passed us.

"I thought number one it's dangerous and number two I've got to record this and show my mates."
