Twisted drunk woman cut her snakes’ heads off with scissors and ATE them
A DRUNK who cut the heads off her two pet snakes with scissors before swallowing them avoided jail yesterday.
Jennifer Lampe, 28, had the still-moving but headless body of a boa constrictor round her neck when she was discovered by police.
She had the snakes' heads in her pockets, having vomited them up as she had "wanted to keep them".
The RSPCA’s Roger Price told Telford JPs the snakes' suffering was “prolonged and painful”.
Lampe executed her boa constrictors as she feared being made homeless, and did not want to leave them with her sister and her boyfriend, who she did not believe would look after them properly.
Chairman of the bench Sue Tyrrell said it was “a rather unpleasant, not to say bizarre, incident”.
Lampe, of Market Drayton, Shrops, admitted causing unnecessary suffering.
The court heard how Lampe had previously put an unwanted cat in a plastic bag, then taken it on a bus and released it. It was the second cat she had disposed of, the first having been "dumped behind a fence".

Weeks before decapitating her snakes she had also thrown her pet hamster in a fish tank and watched it drown, as it irritated her by making too much noise in the night.
She received a four-month suspended jail term, and a five year ban from keeping animals.
