Shock moment FIVE masked raiders attack householder with axe and crowbar in terrifying daylight burglary

THIS is the terrifying moment a gang of FIVE masked raiders armed with a crowbar and an axe attack a householder in a terrifying daylight burglary.

CCTV cameras captured the violent gang as they struck on a quiet road in Dukinfield, Gtr Manchester shortly before 10.10am on August 3.

Footage begins with the men racing into the property.

Four of them then storm through the front door and threaten the occupier with an axe and a crowbar, while demanding money, cops said.

One of the men then grabs a woman round the neck and throws her to the floor, according to cops.

The gang can then be outside the property ransacking the man’s van.

While trying to protect his property he is hit round the head.

The gang then flee after making off with a number of items.

Detective Constable Peter Goddard, of GMP’s Tameside borough, said: “This was a nasty burglary which has understandably left the victims terrified.

“These men have stormed into the house armed with weapons and it is fortunate the occupiers weren’t seriously injured.

“We would urge anyone who recognises these men or has any information that can help our investigation to come forward.”

Officers have now released CCTV footage of the incident in a bid to identify the assailants.

One man was described as white, 5ft 11in, in his 20’s, medium build, wearing dark trainers, dark tracksuit bottoms, a blue coat, black gloves and a black balaclava.

The second man was described as white, 5ft 11in, in his 20’s, medium build, wearing dark grey trainers, dark grey tracksuit bottoms, a dark grey coat with hood up.

The third man was described as white, 5ft 11in, in his 20’s, fat build, wearing black trainers, a full grey hooded tracksuit and black gloves.

The fourth man was described as white, 5ft 11in, in his 20’s, slim build, wearing black trainers, grey tracksuit bottoms, a dark grey bubble jacket and black gloves.

The fifth man was described as white, 5ft 11in, in his 20’s, slim to medium build, wearing black trainers, dark baggy tracksuit bottoms, a dark green baggy waterproof coat and a dark green balaclava.
