A WOMAN was left "bleeding everywhere" after she was attacked by a sick stalker who ripped a gold chain from her neck.

Horrifying footage shows the moment a 52-year-old female victim is grabbed from behind by a hooded thief who it's thought had been stalking her for over a mile.

The daylight robbery took place on Altmore Avenue, a quiet residential street in East Ham, London.

It happened just moments from Altmore Infant School and Children's Centre around 3pm last Friday.

Police confirmed they are hunting for more CCTV of the chilling attack and that the thief, who escaped on an e-scooter, is still on the loose.

A retiree who lives opposite the scene of the horrific attack, Dhiru Nakum, told how the attacker ripped a gold necklace from around the woman’s throat.

He said: “When I came out I saw him put something in his pocket, and then he just ran.

“Somebody shouted from the other end of the road and then he got on his bike, which was parked by the bushes all ready to go.

“It’s scary, scary isn’t it. Just terrible.”

It was Mr Nakum’s doorbell camera that captured the chilling footage, which has quickly gone viral.

Mr Nakum, 65, described how the woman was left covered in blood after the mugger dragged her to the ground and slapped her.

He said: “She was bleeding all over her face.

“He slapped her. Her mouth was all split up.”

Mr Nakum said he recognised the attacker, who is well-known in the area and is recognisable by his bright red trainers.

The 65-year-old added thugs had been targeting women, even elderly women, as they saw them as “easy targets”.

Locals said it wasn't the first time a woman had been mugged for jewellery.

Mr Nakum’s son, who didn’t want to be named, told how the creep had followed the 52-year-old woman all the way back from nearby East Ham high street.

The journey is over a mile long and one route could pass a school.

He said: “I was walking back towards the high street and he was coming towards us, but he was following that lady.

“He had this electric scooter and normally you would use the electric part but he was just using his feet and going slowly."

In the footage, the victim can be seen walking down the East London street carrying a blue plastic bag.

A tall man behind her, dressed all in black speeds up his pace as she walks past - before appearing to grab her by the throat.

The woman lets out a series of blood-curdling screams as she is then pulled to the ground by the attacker, who is almost twice her size.

The man then appears to wrench something from her grip before speeding off in the opposite direction.

The footage was posted to a local Facebook group , as horrified residents flocked to share their terror.

The sickening footage struck a chord with locals following the recent shocking murders of Sarah Everard and Sabina Nessa.

It comes amid calls for police to do more to protect women on UK streets after bumbling cops issued a stream of advice to women who felt they were in danger including to flag down a bus.

Lynn Jenkins wrote: "Didn’t anybody come out or phone the police? What hell is happening in this country, police have got to get tougher."

Tadg Sweeney said: "Lived and grew up in East Ham, moved away 20 odd years ago, best thing I ever did.

"I Don't recognise the place anymore, had a great childhood there, but s** bringing up kids there now.

"The place is like a war zone, if people aren't nicking your catalytic converter, they're stabbing and robbing you."
