ALL 9 DOING FINE

Nine babies born in world record delivery are ‘getting stronger every day’

ALL nine of these babies — born to one couple during a world record delivery — are doing so well they may soon be able to go home.

The Arby nonuplets — four boys and five girls — arrived via caesarean birth in May, weighing up to 2.2lbs each.

They are looked after round the clock by a team of four nurses, mum Halima Arby-Cisse, 26, and dad Kader, 35, a navy sailor.

The couple, who already have a daughter, two, and live in a three-bed house, were flown from their native Mali, West Africa, to Morocco, where facilities allowed the babies’ safe delivery.

Since then, their care has cost the Mali government around £1million.

Kader said: “All of them are getting on very well and are a joy to look after.

"They are getting stronger every day and it may well be they are allowed to leave full-time medical care soon, so that we can take them home.”
