SUMMER is set for a dramatic comeback tomorrow when temperatures soar to 34C.
Weather experts even say we could experience the hottest day of the year so far despite a changeable start to the week.
Beaches were once again packed in Bournemouth, Brighton and Blackpool today as the sun appeared with its hat firmly back on.
Temps will soar into the 30Cs today before possibly hitting a new peak in the next 48 hours.
Heavy thunderstorms are also expected to sweep across the south before warmer weather will return in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The heat warning comes after the current level-2 heat health alert was raised to a more serious level-3 in eastern parts of the country - warning of heatwave conditions until Friday.
The Met office says much of the country will enjoy a sunny snap over the weekend.
That is despite weather chaos across the country which brought sun to London and floods to Yorkshire.
The north-south divide saw torrential rain in North Yorkshire sent water gushing out from the White Scar Caves in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Cars battled to get through deep flood water on local roads as gallons of water sloshed around the entrance to the attraction before plummeting down the steps to the road below.
In Lancashire, which has experienced widespread flooding, a woman had to be rescued by a farmer after becoming trapped in her car yesterday.
The Environment agency has also issued 19 flood alerts in places across the north west for today.
Flood defence schemes are also being used in Garstang, Catterall and Wigan - protecting 500 properties - after heavy rain saw river levels rise in parts of Lancashire and Cumbria.
Temperatures are also going to be cold in northern cities, with most places only expecting to reach the low 20s.
But is is a different story across the South where temperatures are soaring to a blistering 30C this week as summer makes a reappearance.
A blistering Spanish plume is causing a heatwave over the next four days, with experts banking on tomorrow being the hottest day of the year.
Grahame Madge from the Met Office said: "There is a front that will be straddling the UK and temperatures to the south-east of that front will be much warmer.
"The next few days in the South East and the Home Counties are going to be very warm - but it is a different picture a bit further north - that is where the front will have an impact.
"It is a boundary between two weather systems - we have got cooler air to the north and west, and warmer air to the south and east."
He added: "There is still potential for sunshine in a lot of other places - the map for Wednesday shows the cloud across the central belt of the UK, from South Wales to the Humber.
"North of that there are very sunny areas, it is a bright picture, but temperature wise it is going to be the south-east corner that is going to see the higher values over the next few days."
