Identical twins defy 150,000-to-one odds to become dads on the SAME day
IDENTICAL twins defied huge odds to become dads on the same day.
Steven and David Bisset’s only regret is that they didn’t bet on it - with bookmakers Ladbrokes saying they’d have offered odds of 150,000 to one.
The Scottish brothers, aged 28, both from the Black Isle, Highland, made headlines a decade ago when they both passed their driving tests on the same day.
They both married last year - Steven in June and David in November - and their wives both gave birth on Monday, August 15.
Kella Mac Bisset arrived first at 6.15am weighing 7lbs 8oz to Steven and Nicola. She was later joined by Robbie Stewert Bisset, who arrived later that same day at 8.41pm, weighing 9lbs 3oz to parents David and Kim.
And in another quirk of fate, their wives actually passed each other in the corridor - as Nicola was coming out of the labour suite, the door was held open for Kim to be taken in.
It’s not the first time the twins have had occasion to celebrate together. They passed their driving tests on the same day when they were 17.
David, who lives in Muir of Ord, said: “We also had our first driving lesson our 17th birthday and passed the theory the day after.”
Both twins also tied the knot last year, with Steven and Nicola marrying on June 20 and David and Kim following suit on November 19.
