National Lottery celebrate Team GB’s Rio medal success by offering 67 extra prizes on Saturday

MILLIONS of extra cash prizes are up for grabs in this Saturday’s Lotto draw thanks to Team GB’s success in Rio.

Lucky players could strike gold like their Olympic heroes with an extra 27 £1 million prizes up for grabs to mirror the top medals won by Brits.

There will also be an extra 23 chances at £100,000 to equal the amounts of silver medals and an additional 17 £50,000 prizes  to represent bronze winners.

A National Lottery spokeswoman said: "If you've ever bought a National Lottery ticket then you have been part of Team GB's triumph in Rio.

"Saturday's special draw is a thank you to every player and will make an additional big winner for every medal won. Good luck."

This week’s jackpot is an estimated £21.5 million after no-one won the top prize last night.

The winning Lotto numbers were 15, 10, 38, 04, 59, 37 and the bonus number was 01.

One ticketholder won the Millionaire Raffle for £1 million while 20 others will each scoop £20,000.

Team GB scooped a record medal haul this year coming second to the US and narrowly beating China by one single gold medal.
