How was Liverpool bomber Emad Al-Swealmeen still in Britain after his asylum claim was rejected?
Asylum fiasco
HOW was Liverpool bomber Emad Al-Swealmeen still on our streets?
His asylum claim was rejected in 2014. He was sectioned for waving around a knife.
Yet here, in 2021, he still was.
But for a miracle he could have killed cabbie David Perry and perhaps even mums and babies inside the hospital.
How, with Brexit done, are we still so powerless to deport those with no right to be here — or defeat the left-wing lawyers who take up their cause?
Yesterday Priti Patel, and her French opposite number, vowed to stop ALL small boat crossings in the Channel. How absurd it sounded as scores of young men were filmed setting off in dinghies.
Forget sleaze. Illegal migration will damage the Tories far more.
Lagging lags
THE eco morons who illegally blocked our motorways must get proper jail terms today.
Insulate Britain’s choice to inflict misery on drivers and economic harm on the nation was staggeringly idiotic, dangerous and in open defiance of our courts.
One protester reckons ten new loons will replace each one locked up. Yeah, right.
A colleague meanwhile claims “we are hurtling towards ecocide, genocide and our own suicide” without lagging our lofts. No sane scientist agrees.
Another whimpering yob is terrified about jail. What did he expect? That sympathetic courts would cut him a break? Who knows . . . maybe they will.
Whose side will our justice system be on?
Andy sums
HOW Prince Andrew funds a lifestyle of jet-setting, ski chalets and a £200,000 Bentley is one of the great mysteries.
Sure, the Queen bungs him £250,000 a year. Big money.
But the portly Prince lives like a much richer man than that.
Now there’s a clue: A £1.5million loan he took out for “living expenses” was paid back in 11 days by a banker pal.
Why? What did controversial financier David Rowland get out of it? What services is Andy selling using the privileges of his birth? Who exactly is buying?
It’s as opaque as his dealings with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Time he came clean. Is Emily Maitlis free for a chat? It went well last time.
Cricket’s crisis
MODERN Britain, and British sport, is proud to have moved on from the racism of the past.
How appalling that Yorkshire County Cricket Club didn’t get the memo.
The disgraceful treatment of Asian players including Azeem Rafiq was a throwback to the 1970s. If proven to be widespread throughout the counties, cricket has a monstrous problem.
The England and Wales Cricket Board must urgently probe all allegations.
