Man arrested on suspicion of murdering woman, 18, found dead at home after she didn’t arrive for work

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murdering an 18-year-old found dead at home after she didn't arrive for work.

Cops discovered the woman's body inside a house in the Portslade area of Brighton at around 9.45am yesterday.

Nobody else was in the property at the time.

A 27-year-old man from Portslade was arrested a few hours later and remains in custody.

Superintendent James Collis, of Sussex Police, said; "Our thoughts are with the deceased and with her family and friends, who are receiving our support at this time."
