Dog the Bounty Hunter questions Brian Laundrie autopsy and suggests Gabby’s fiance ‘may still be ALIVE’ despite suicide

DOG The Bounty Hunter has questioned the newly-revealed results of Brian Laundrie's autopsy, suggesting Gabby Petito's fiancé "may still be alive."

Dog, real name Duane Chapman, seemed to doubt that Laundrie is indeed dead even after an autopsy revealed the 23-year-old died from a gunshot to the head.

The District 12 Medical Examiner's office finally reported its results on Tuesday afternoon, confirming that Brian had died by suicide from a single gunshot wound to the head.

"Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide," Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino told The Sun.

But even after the family's statement, Dog didn't discard the possibility that Laundrie may still be alive.

"If he's alive he's going to get arrested...but right now it looks like he committed suicide," Dog said during a Tuesday night appearance on Fox News. "and it's a tragedy for both families."

Dog admitted, however, that the "professionals looked at [the remains]" and he "only chases live people, not dead."

Twitter users quickly reacted to Dog's suggestion that Laundrie could be alive.

One comment said: "Even though news just broke that Brian Laundrie's autopsy results came back that he 'shot himself in the head' (however believable that sounds considering the supposed state of his remains) Dog the Bounty Hunter was claiming he may still be alive and Fox News cut the feed."

Another added: "Dog the bounty Hunter doesn’t believe the Feds. Guy is still alive."

Dog had joined the hunt for Laundrie but called off his investigation after the FBI found Brian's items, and subsequently, his remains.

Laundrie's skeletal remains were found in Florida's Myakkahatchee Creek Park on October 20, just over one month after Gabby was found strangled to death at a campsite in Wyoming.

The remains, which were described as a partial skull and bones, were sent to a forensic pathologist for further investigation several weeks ago after an initial autopsy came back inconclusive.

Gabby Petito's fiance was reported missing by his parents after Florida police named him a "person of interest" in her disappearance.

It's currently unclear where the gun Laundrie used to kill himself came from and whether or not investigators know where it is.

Petito, a 22-year-old influencer, was found dead in Wyoming on September 18 - and the case sparked numerous reactions and claims on social media.
