UK’s dopiest burglar caged for two years after falling asleep in victim’s house and being woken by cops
Dim-witted Mohammed Khan had been drinking and taking drugs before he decided to break into victim's home in Stoke
A DOZY burglar has been jailed after he fell asleep in his victim’s home and had to be woken by the police.
Mohammed Khan, 22, smashed his way in while the taxi driver owner was working.
He returned at 3am to find his home ransacked — and Khan lying under a blanket snoring with a wrench on his lap.
The owner crept outside and rang police in Stoke, who raced to arrest Khan.
Khan, who has a history of violence, was drunk and high, the city’s crown court heard.

He admitted burglary and was jailed for two years and three months.
Judge Paul Glenn said of the victim: “The victim returned to find his home had been entered and ransacked.
"Nothing very much had been taken because there was nothing very much of high value inside the house but a good deal of gratuitous damage had been caused.
"It must have been incredibly frightening to find someone in his home, a man with a history of violence, drunk, under the influence of drugs and with a weapon in his hand.”
This is the third time the victim had been burgled before and no longer feels safe in his home.
