'HE IS NOT DUMBLEDORE'

Trolls target JK Rowling after she again rubbishes comparisons of Jeremy Corbyn with Hogwarts head

Author is outspoken about her dislike of the Labour leader

JK Rowling yesterday rubbished a comparison of Jeremy Corbyn and her lovable Harry Potter wizard Dumbledore.

Fans of the grey-bearded Labour leader claim he is a socialist version of the Hogwarts headmaster.

But the author, a former party donor, told her eight million Twitter followers: “Corbyn. Is. Not. Dumbledore.”

She slammed him for appearing on Iranian TV — and got a torrent of abuse from Corbynista trolls.

Ms Rowling has previously criticised linking the Labour leader with Dumbledore, stating: “I forgot Dumbledore trashed Hogwarts, refused to resign and ran off to the forest to make speeches to angry trolls.”

The author then linked the tweet to an article stating that Mr Corbyn was paid up to £20,000 for appearances on the Iranian news channel Press TV which was banned in Britain for its part in filming the detention and torture of a journalist.

Ms Rowling went on to give a passionate defence of the last Labour government, prompting even more online fury.

In a plea to Labour members to ditch their hapless leader, Rowling added: “One day in the far distant future we’ll look back and we WONT LAUGH, LABOUR, BECAUSE THIS ISN’T B------ FUNNY.”

Last night Mr Corbyn defended his appearence on Press TV, telling PinkNews: “I presented other programmes in which I was able to raise a number of human rights issues, not just in Iran but other countries as well – and the money I was paid, which wasn’t an enormous amount actually, went into my constituency office.”

The author was quick to quash any claims of similarity between Professor Dumbledore and Jezza

He added: “Obviously, they are free to make the criticism they wish.

“I used the opportunities to address the issues of the Western relationship with the whole region, address the issues of Iraq, and also address issues of human rights.”
