Possible Nike World ‘hazmat’ situation – ‘Smoke clouds’ at Beaverton, Oregon headquarters prompt emergency response
A HAZMAT incident was reported at the Nike World Headquarters.
Smoke is reportedly showing from the second floor of a building in the area.
The headquarters is located in Beaverton, Oregon in an unincorporated area.
Multiple units are responding to the scene.
The Sun has reached out to Beaverton Police and Nike for comment.
Crews were dispatched for a haze on the second floor of Nike's fitness center, according to Tualatin Fire & Rescue.
Investigators found a refrigerator leak, which resulted in a hazmat team being called.
Crews are reportedly venting the property but so far, there have been no injuries or fire reported.
The headquarters has more than 75 buildings on its campus and spans over 286 acres.
Much of the buildings on the campus are named after athletes including Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, LeBron James, Nolan Ryan and Mia Hamm.
