The teenager had only moved to Gresham to live with his mother and younger brother six months before his death.

Larnell Malik Bruce was charging his phone outside the 7-Eleven on August 10 in Gresham, Oregon when Russell Courtier, 38, and his girlfriend Colleen Hunt, 35 pulled up shortly before midnight.

Within moments a fistfight had broken out between the two men, with Hunt encouraging her boyfriend saying '"Get him baby, get him", reports.

Courtier has a long list of convictions and prison time

Courtier, a long-time member of white supremacist prison gang European Kindred, then smashed Bruce's head into the shop's front window.

Bruce tried to defend himself with a knife leading the couple to get back into their 1991 Jeep Wrangler.

The teen then tried to run home to safety but the couple chased him in their vehicle.

After he initially lost them by changing direction prosecutors then heard that Courtier turn and chased the boy across lanes of oncoming traffic before intentionally hitting him head on in their 4x4.
