THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have delighted tourists at Cornwall's Eden Project after making a last-minute trip to the popular attraction.
William and Kate had planned to fly to the Isles of Scilly this morning - but foggy conditions around Land's End forced them to delay their trip.
As visitors explored the venue, famed for its hexagonal-panelled biomes filled with exotic plants and trees, the royal couple were given a guided tour.
Holding umbrellas against the rain, they first surveyed the site from a walkway before heading inside.
Kate was casually dressed in a dark jacket by Smythe, light-coloured top, trousers by Gap - costing just £21.99 - and wedges.
Meanwhile, William wore a jacket, a white shirt without a tie, and chino-type trousers.

The royal couple were introduced to Eden staff once inside one of the large structures, and even met a baby dinosaur puppet from the attraction's Dinosaur Uprising project - an unexpected encounter which sent Kate into fits of giggles.
In the Rainforest Biome - said to be the world's biggest under-cover rainforest - the Cambridges marvelled at the trees that towered above them.
William and Kate are scheduled to spend the rest of the day touring the Isles of Scilly's main island St Mary's, meeting locals and learning about life on the remote outcrops.
Their programme, which will also see them visit the islands of Tresco and St Martin's, is likely to be revised.
A Kensington Palace spokeswoman said: "The Duke and Duchess's visit to the Isles of Scilly has been delayed, due to poor weather conditions affecting travel arrangements. They still hope to visit this afternoon if weather conditions improve."
Commercial flights carrying tourists and residents to the Isles of Scilly have also been suspended.
