MASKED raiders took drones worth £140,000 in a heist on a firm backed by Dragons’ Den’s Peter Jones.

The professional hit took less than three minutes.

Along with 18 DJI drones, the two raiders took two cameras, mini drones, goggles and more gear from the first floor unit.

The alarm was triggered, the pair were caught on CCTV and police arrived at Basepoint Enterprise Centre in Chichester, West Sussex, within six minutes — but the men had fled.

Officers even put up a drone to try to locate the criminals.

But it is believed they had cut holes in a fence to a railway line and left a ladder there before Tuesday’s midnight heist on Drone Safe Register.

Boss Mark Boyt, 45, who is insured, won a £60,000 investment from entrepreneur Mr Jones during a 2018 appearance on TV’s Dragons’ Den.

Mr Boyt fumed: “These scumbags knew exactly what they were after.

Mr Jones, 55, who bought a 40 per cent stake in the firm, is no longer involved in the business, which hires out commercial drone pilots.
